After waking hungover and alone at a ransacked campsite, a guilt-ridden man searches the surrounding woods for his missing friends. But when a mysterious portal appears and leads him into stranger and darker territory, his desperate search spirals into a nightmare of malevolent proportions.
Directors Bio
AJ Hartman is an award-winning writer, director, actor, and producer with a passion for stories that blend suspense, dark humor, and creepy little things. His previous short film, MEET CARLY W, screened at more than sixteen film festivals, earning multiple awards including Outstanding Achievement – Comedy Short and acting honors at several festivals. Before filmmaking, AJ spent five years as a company member with Chance Theater in Anaheim, where he acted, directed, and helped shape numerous stage productions. Drawn to stories that balance tension and a bit of absurdity, AJ is especially passionate about horror and horror-comedy. LOST SIGNAL marks his return to the festival circuit with a psychological horror film exploring isolation, paranoia, and peculiar things that lurk in the deep dark woods.
